If you’re experiencing panic attacks — sudden waves of fear that feel overwhelming and out of your control — I want you to know you’re not alone. Panic attacks can be frightening, confusing, and exhausting. At FD Counselling & Therapy, I offer a calm and confidential space where we can work together to understand what’s happening and help you regain a sense of safety and control.
Everyone experiences panic differently, but common symptoms can include:
•A racing or pounding heart
•Shortness of breath or feeling like you can’t breathe
•Dizziness or feeling faint
•Sweating or trembling
•Chest pain or a sense of tightness
•Nausea or a feeling of disconnection
•A fear that something terrible is about to happen — or that you’re losing control
You might not always know what’s triggered the attack, and that can be just as unsettling. But with the right support, panic attacks can become more manageable — and in many cases, significantly reduce or stop altogether.
In our sessions, we’ll gently explore the underlying causes and patterns behind your panic. My aim is to help you:
•Understand what’s happening in your body and mind during a panic attack
•Recognise early signs and triggers
•Develop practical, grounding techniques to manage symptoms
•Explore the emotional roots of your anxiety or fear
•Build your confidence and sense of safety, both internally and in the world around you
You won’t be rushed or pressured — everything happens at your pace, and I’ll be alongside you every step of the way.
Panic attacks can leave you feeling frightened, alone, and out of control. But they don’t define you — and they don’t have to control your life. With support, it’s possible to move forward with more peace and confidence.
If panic attacks are affecting your everyday life, please don’t suffer in silence. Get in touch for a free, confidential initial conversation — and let’s take the first step together.
